京都北山都乾園 石燈籠の本格調査へ

 Nearly all 11 stone lanterns in our Japanese garden were toppled by the Noto Peninsula Earthquake in January 2024. While restoration is still pending, we took this opportunity to investigate the Taisho-era lanterns and stonework, originally built through the wealth of our family’s fishing business. Two experts from Kitayama Tokuen in Kyoto—President Kitayama and Mr. Yoshida—conducted a detailed two-day survey. The entire process was beautifully documented by Mr. Nakashima and Mr. Misono, and we look forward to sharing this cultural heritage with the world.

当家の日本庭園にあった約11基の石燈籠は、2024年1月の能登半島地震でほぼ全て倒壊しました。修復はまだですが、これを機に、大正時代初期に網元の生業で築いた石燈籠と石材について、京都の北山都乾園より北山社長・吉田氏の二名にお越しいただき、2日間にわたる専門調査を実施していただきました。記録は中嶋・御園両氏により撮影され、今後、美しい日本文化として発信予定です。
